Presbyterian College Releases 2023 Football Schedule with Five Home Games
The Presbyterian Blue Hose have revealed their 2023 football schedule, featuring 11 games, including five home matchups.
The season will kick off on Sept. 2 with a non-conference game against Murray State on the road, followed by their first home game on Sept. 9 against Virginia-Lynchburg at Bailey Memorial Stadium.
After another non-conference game on the road against Wofford on Sept. 16, Presbyterian will have an open date before starting Pioneer Football League play on Sept. 30 with a game against Butler away from home. The Blue Hose will also face PFL opponents Dayton, Davidson, and Drake on the road, and host Stetson, Marist (for Homecoming), San Diego, and Morehead State at Bailey Memorial Stadium.

Presbyterian Football Coach Steve Englehart Optimistic Despite Tough 2023 Schedule
Head coach Steve Englehart is looking ahead to the 2023 football season with optimism, despite the Presbyterian Blue Hose finishing 1-10 overall and 0-8 in Pioneer Football League (PFL) action in 2022. Englehart, who previously coached at Florida Tech, is entering his second year at the helm of the Blue Hose.
Although the upcoming schedule features 11 strong opponents, Englehart is excited about the opportunities presented to his team. “I continue to feel very optimistic about the progress that PC is making,” he said. “With this being my second year here, we know a little bit more about our competition.”
The 2023 season will kick off on the road against the Murray State Racers on Sept. 2, followed by four more non-conference games before Presbyterian starts PFL play on Sept. 30. The Blue Hose will face tough opponents such as San Diego, Dayton, and Davidson, but Englehart and his team are prepared for the challenge.
