Portland State 2023 Football Schedule

The Portland State Vikings have unveiled their football schedule for the 2023 season, featuring matches against two Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) opponents.

The Vikings will start the season with two away non-conference games against the Oregon Ducks and the Wyoming Cowboys on September 2 and September 9, respectively.

Their home opener will occur on September 16 at Hillsboro Stadium in Hillsboro, Ore., against non-conference opponent North American Stallions. Portland State will then conclude its non-league schedule.

Portland State will begin its Big Sky Conference campaign on September 23 at home against Cal Poly. They will also host Idaho State on October 21, Eastern Washington on October 28, and Montana on November 11.

In addition, the Vikings will travel to face Big Sky rivals Montana State on September 30, Northern Arizona on October 14, UC Davis on November 4, and Northern Colorado on November 18.

The Portland State Vikings ended the 2022 campaign with an overall record of 4-7 and a Big Sky conference record of 3-5. Bruce Barnum will lead the team for his ninth season as head coach in 2023. During his tenure, the Vikings have a combined record of 30-50, including a 21-35 record in the Big Sky conference.
